Convento San Diego Hotel was a 16ht century Franciscan convent. The building has been renovated to include all modern facilities, holding the original arquitecture in combination with modern elements.

This unique and beautiful four stars hotel is located in a natural place, near Sierra de Aracena, in Fuentes de Leon, a rural village in Tentudia region, with breathtaking views of the peaceful countryside within which it is nestled.

This historical building has been thoughtfully decorated to make the most of its stunning structure and setting: glorious arches and exposed stonework that is illuminated with subtle lighting and clever design, tiled corridors, wooden beams or impressive views from the gallery that runs around the central courtyard.

The 12 double rooms enjoy the original features of the main cloister, where the monks once resided. The old tiled floors and wooden beams contrast beautifully against striking, modern furniture and soft lighting.

The Moba Restaurant serves quality cuisine that you can enjoy with a fine wine from their extensive wine cellar.

The old chapel has been converted for the private use of functions or special occasions that the hotel will happily cater for and which have a capacity for up to 200 people.

Fuentes de Leon is about one hour from Sevilla or Merida. So it is a good place for visit Extremadura and the west of Andalucia.

Near the village are the karst caves of Fuentes de Leon (declared Natural Monument). The visit is restricted to protect the speleothems (stalactites, stalagmites,bunches of aragonite, and other rocky formations).
